If you are looking for a core memory for your Tokyo trip, you have to visit Comme’N Kids. Located in the stunning Azabudai Hills mall, this bakery is strictly "No Adults Allowed." It’s a space designed entirely for children to practice independence, handle money, and pick out their own treats in a pint-sized shop.
We visited on the final day of our five-week Japan trip, and it was the perfect finale.
The Experience
When our preschooler's timeslot arrived, we gave him 1,000 yen and a mission: choose up to four pastries. The staff greeted him at the tiny entrance and led him inside while we waited behind the glass.

A few minutes later, he practically floated out of the store clutching his bread bags, looking so incredibly proud of his "adult" errand.

We headed to the mall’s atrium to enjoy his "bounty" (Great shot of our boba kids jogger set he's wearing!).
.
This was the perfect finale for our last full day in Tokyo after 5 weeks and such a special experience, I think I’m going to have to frame the receipt or something!
Why It’s Unique
The shop is a spin-off of the world-famous Comme’N Merengue by Mamoru Kaneko (a World Bread Cup champion). While the main bakery next door has long lines of adults, the "Kids" version is built to their scale, from the height of the counters to the simplified checkout process.
